The Girisha Hosanagaara Nagarajegowda won India’s first medal at the London 2012 paralympic Games.The Karnataka athlete bagged the silver with a 1.74m effort in the men’s high jump F42 event on 03 September 2012.

She lifted 55kg in snatch, 74kg in clean and jerk for a total effort of 129kg.
